“I’ve been lifting off-and-on since high school. As a former high school football player, I was familiar with general strength training, so I wasn’t completely aimless in my efforts. Soon after graduation, however, I transitioned into body-building specific exercises, and successfully gained some muscle mass, but had no real agenda or plan when going to the gym. 

In 2017, I became interested in powerlifting, and started doing research on the sport. Slowly but surely, I began incorporating squat, bench and deadlift into my routine, but, again, I had no real plan or agenda. I figured I’d familiarize myself with the movements before diving into programming. Then, as I started adding more weight to the bar, it was time to take programming and form more seriously.

I shuffled between programs, but didn’t see much improvement. My numbers plateaued, and no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't break beyond 405-295-465.

Enter Behemoth Strong.

Behemoth Strong is difficult. Make no mistake about it. Before going to the gym, I sometimes find myself having to prepare mentally, because the workouts are demanding and sometimes exhausting. 

But hard work pays off. After 8 months on Behemoth Strong, I blew past my old numbers (512-330-530), and won first place at my first ever powerlifting meet in 2019. It was amazing. When they handed me the gold medal, I was reminded of all of the hard work that led me to that point: the many hours spent at the gym, the many hand callouses, the bloody shins, the sweaty car rides home. Granted, these weren’t highest numbers in the world, but they were MY numbers, I worked hard for them, and Behemoth Strong got me there.

For the first time in my life, Behemoth Strong gave me a plan and an agenda. I no longer walk in the gym aimlessly, or follow half-baked programs. Before walking into the gym, I understand exactly what is expected of me, as well as the goals I wish to accomplish. No matter how difficult the workout may be, I know that as long as I work hard and focus on the finish line, Behemoth Strong will get me there.”
